Fully automated finite element simulation and evaluation thereof as white-box elements in grey-box models



In Computer Aided Reliability, grey-box models may be employed to estimate the residual lifetime of components based on sensory input. In these grey-box models, finite element models may be employed as white-box elements. For the concept of Computer Aided Reliability, it is essential that grey-box models are computed fully automated. If finite element models are to be employed in a grey-box model, they must therefore also be fully automated. In this lecture, a general framework for the fully automated building, solving and evaluation of finite element models in Abaqus is presented.
