The aim of the talk is to present theoretical and experimental methods to describe heat transfer in I-FRC. From theoretical point of view material properties can be found from their atomistic structure. For example, thermal conductivity of a polymer matrix can be obtained via molecular dynamics (MD) simulations. Every theoretical calculation is validated by experiments. For instance, thermal conductivity of rubber can be measured by guarded hot plate method. The properties obtained from theoretical and experimental methods will be used for macro scale modeling of I-FRC to predict their thermo-mechanical behavior.
